We host our own classes, either held at the Run Centre here in Stroud, or from a pre-arranged alternative location which includes Zoom sessions & pre-recorded media options.

Our classes are designed to benefit all abilities of current 5K+ runner, and include activities such as strength & conditioning, circuit training, pilates & group running workshops.

These workshops sold in blocks of 5 x Saturday sessions are held at either our Stroud Run Centre or alternative local locations.

Our Marathon work shop package entails

  • A bespoke personalised training plan written specifically for your needs by coach Fi
  • Weekly coaching contact via phone or email with coach Fi

In the workshops

  • A group long run in the trail after practising specific drills and warm up exercises. Please don’t be concerned about pace – we have strategies in place to ensure we all enjoy our group run experience.
  • After the run we return to Run Cotswolds gym (or a pre-arranged alternative) and take part in a run strength class together where you will be supported to learn and practise key strength and conditioning exercises to support your training. 
  • Off the back of these classes, you’ll be given homework to support your S&C at home in between the workshops.
  • After the run and class has finished, we’ll have an hour+ of Q&A specific to your training, and hot topics from coach Fi to support and enhance your marathon training.

WHY: TO DEVELOP RUNNING SPECIFIC MUSCLE GROUPS & AEROBIC FITNESS @ 5K PACE

WHAT WE DO: CLASSES BEGIN WITH DYNAMIC WARM UP DRILLS, FOLLOWED BY 5K SPECIFIC TECHNICAL INTERVAL RUNNING SESSIONS (VARIED EACH CLASS), A CALLISTHENICS (BODY WEIGHT) SESSION, ENDING WITH STRATEGIC CHAT & GROUP DISCUSSION (+WARM UP AND COOL DOWNS)  APPROX 3 – 4 MILES OF VARIABLE PACED RUNNING PER SESSION, LONGEST REPS = 1 MILE.

WHAT TO BRING SUGGESTIONS: TRAINERS – AS YOU’D WEAR FOR A PARKRUN, HIGH VIZ APPAREL+ HEAD/BODY TORCH (WINTER), EXERCISE GLOVES – LIKE PADDED CYCLING ONES (FOR BARS AND FLOOR WORK), A DRINK, INHALER / OTHER MED’S IF REQ’D, AND AN ENERGY GEL OR BAR. 

WE TRANSITION DURING THIS CLASS SO BRING A SUITABLE RUNNERS BELT / BACKPACK TO HOLD PERSONAL ITEMS.
