Matt – UKA Licensed Leader and Coach in Endurance Running Fitness

Matt caught the running bug later, previously choosing other active sports such as water skiing (instructor), mountaineering (lead trad. climber), and martial arts (3rd tag brown belt) amongst other sports.

He is our Guided run lead who’s responsible for organizing and hosting courses. His love is running in the trail when conditions are tough and gnarly, but he’s also happy road running – witnessed by sub 3 hour marathon times.

Matt also hosts Circuit Training classes, along with the popular “Run Long Run Strong” class that includes a techincal running / running intervals section.

Classes can also be custom designed for groups, such as football team pre-season training – for more information on this, contact Matt HERE.

Mark – UKA Licensed Leader in Running Fitness

Mark is a Cotswold Way Centurion having ran the Cotswold Way Century (102m) twice. His love of distance is evident in his membership in the 100 marathon club, and his participation in seriously long distances both in the UK and further afield. He has ran many ultra’s such as the infamous Grand Union Canal 2021 & 2022 (145m) The Forces March (140 miles) Comrades back to back (90k) Cotswold Way Century (102m) amongst others.  He’s also added the highly coveted “3 C’s” UTMB event in August ’22 (100K, 18K Ft ascent), finishing just shy of 24 hours.

Alongside general guiding, Mark is bookable for day or night runs for those looking for specific expertise along the Cotswold Way routes, and for accompanied extra-long distances.

He requires plenty of notice for bookings because he takes ages to find once he’s out in the hills! You can also be sure to expect stops to watch & admire wildlife en-route, and drink in the views.

He’s an accomplished Leader who’s more than happy to chat for hours about all things running – either out on the run or back at the Gym over a coffee.
